Denver's First Indoor Farmers' Market Opens Saturday

After writing a post earlier this week on localizing your Thanksgiving, I got wind of Denver's first indoor farmers' market opening up just in time for the holidays! Hosted by Denver Urban Homesteading (DUH), this project will make up for us losing our outdoor farmers' markets (and readily available fresh local foods). This is exciting for producers and consumers alike. I encourage you to check it out!

 

Now Open Saturdays beginning November 21st

WHEN: Saturdays beginning November 21, 2009 from 9am-2pm

Denver Urban Homesteading is a food and agricultural center in Central Denver that provides education to the public on homesteading (how to raise backyard chickens, goats, bees, fish farming, etc.), offers lectures and seminars on agricultural and food topics and helps make the route from farmers to consumers transparent while distributing farm products to the public at its local market.
