The Colorado FAMLIAct - What Could it Mean for Small Businesses?

Join us Wednesday, December 17, 2014, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Mountain Time) for a FREE informational webinar about the Colorado FAMLI Act

Often, policies are made without consideration for the impacts on small businesses or their employees. We're striving to change that by engaging more small businesses in discussions and learning about the Colorado FAMLI Act. The Colorado FAMLI Act is an effort to create an employee-paid insurance program to provide a portion of wage replacement to eligible workers who take qualified extended family medical leave. This would assist workers (especially the lowest-wage workers) to have some economic relief when faced with the illness, birth or death of an immediate family member. This webinar, hosted by the American Sustainable Business Council and the Mile High Business Alliance features the bill's co-sponsor Senator Jessie Ulibarri.  He along with staff from ASBC and MHBA will provide an overview of the proposed law, which will be debated in the next Legislative Session and it's potential impacts on small businesses if passed. Participants will also have an opportunity to ask questions about the legislation and it's implications for their business.
