About our presenter: Letitia Pleis has been an assistant professor of Accounting at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) for six years.  While at MSU Denver she has taught managerial, cost accounting, strategic cost management, and small business accounting.  She also serves on the Faculty Senate and the Faculty Senate Budget Committee.Letitia has helped small businesses with their tax and accounting questions at many places in addition to Mile High Business Alliance such as Denver New Tech and Create Denver Expo.
 
Letitia earned her PhD in accounting from the University of North Texas in 2007.  Her dissertation was titled “Investment Decisions: Influence of an Internet Stock Message Board”.  She received her MBA in 2001 and BBA 2000 from the University of Central Arkansas where she graduated summa cum laude.  Letitia passed the CMA and CFM exams in 2000 and the CPA exam 2001.
