Join the MHBA Board of Directors

Mile High Business Alliance is a tax exempt 501(c)6 organization founded in 2007, with a mission to build a more connected, healthy and resilient local economy. MHBA is governed by a volunteer board of directors, who work in collaboration with the executive director to fulfill on the organization's mission. Board members are elected to three-year positions, and are entrusted with the fiscal health and strategic direction of the organization.

To be an MHBA Board Member, you must:

  • Maintain current membership in MHBA
  • Represent a locally-owned business or, in limited cases, serve as an individual
  • Participate in board meetings, MHBA programs and other activities (see our full set of roles & responsibilities)
Board members are elected by the membership at our Annual Meeting, held in the first quarter of each year. MHBA has a total of 7-9 board seats, and board seats are staggered for re-election every three years (meaning, you might be elected to a one, two or three-year term).

Being a member of the board is an excellent opportunity to shape the direction of MHBA and work in meaningful ways to support the fulfillment of our mission.
